This is the cover for my novel, Killer Cows. This is the exciting time, because things are coming together for its eventual publication this fall. And for this novel, the cover is as important as its content and the title, and I think this is a good one...just subtle enough to not be overbearing, but charmingly hokey enough to reflect the B-movie tone of the book.
Cows aren't scary. Never will be. But like the original movie poster for a film I've loved since childhood about killer rabbits, the actual effort (consciously or not) to make a relatively docile animal appear terrifying is funny indeed.
The author couldn't be happier.
Love it, love it, love it. It's a great feeling opening the email and clicking on the cover image. All your hard work is nearing the day you'll hold the book in your hand. Congratulations!
