It's an independent press for sure, but its list of authors and books is larger and longer than most indie presses here in the states. The very fact that it has three imprints -- Echelon, Quake, and Erotique -- puts it in the upper echelon (yeah, I know -- bad pun)of American indie presses. What sets Echelon apart from many indies is the level of support its authors receive re promoting and selling their books. I covered the indie press scene for years for Mystery Scene Magazine, and I can name only one or two other indie publishers who commit as much time and support to their authors as Echelon does.
